Day 16: A question you wish had been answered in the book What’s the deal with Gale? Yeah, we got the update about what he’s doing … but he has absolutely no contact with Katniss? … there was no closure between the two of them … their storyline just fizzled.

Hunger Games Day 14: Your favorite tribute
Unlike everyone else who chooses Finnick, I am going to go with Johanna.  She just seemed like such a cool badass … and I have a soft spot for Mags; I just envision her as such a sweet selfless old lady, and I loved her bond with Finnick, and the way she volunteered to spare Annie.

Hunger Games Day 13: A character you wish had died
Not that I am wishing death on him, but I would not have been upset if Gale didn’t survive.

Hunger Games Day 12: A character you wish hadn't...
Just one? … impossible. I wish Rue did not die, but her death was such a key role in the story, too. The fact that there was so much death and sadness added so much depth to the series. … nonetheless I was sad to see Cinna and Seneca not make it.  … and from the 75th Games, I was so sad that Mags died, but found it so moving that she volunteered for the games, and then...

Hmmm … just that the story sort of fizzled in the end? … there was so much detail in the series, and then the brief glimpse of the future at the end of Mockingjay just seemed too vague.

Hunger Games Day 9: Your favorite quote
I cannot pick just one … “What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that.” “They hadn’t counted on the highly controlled jabberjay having the brains to adapt to the wild, to pass on its genetic code, to...

I really don’t see myself as any of the characters … aside from Katniss, my favorite female character is Johanna … I really liked that she was such a badass, and that she was so loyal during the 75th Games.

Hunger Games Day 7: A scene that made you cry
While I will not admit to crying, I will admit that the 2 most upsetting scenes from the series include: everything about Rue’s death when Mags sacrificed herself

Hunger Games Day 6: A scene that made you laugh
When Katniss discovers Peeta in the mud and he says,”You here to finish me off, sweetheart?”  An angry Katniss shooting the apple in the pigs mouth during training with the Gamemakers, and then storming out.

Hunger Games Day 5: Your favorite fight/battle...
In Hunger Games, when Katniss returns to the Cornucopia to retrieve the backpack and is attacked by Clove, and then Thresh kills Clove and spares Katniss. … and pretty much all of the action scenes throughout Mockingjay.

Hunger Games Day 4: A character you love that...
Haymitch. I really liked Haymitch and felt like he did not receive as much credit as he should have.  He was just a sad, lonely, tortured guy, who dealt with his demons by drinking. But he was also very smart, and like Katniss, a survivor.  I also liked the relationship that developed between Haymitch, Katniss, and Peeta at the conclusion of Mockingjay.

Hunger Games Day 1: Your favorite character
Unlike the hoards of people who profess their love for Peeta and Finnick, Katniss is my hands down favorite character.   I believe she is one of the most well developed characters ever created.  She was brilliant, compassionate, and brave. She could be reserved, yet bold; quiet, yet assertive; reserved, yet self reliant.  I could go on … I am most impressed with the fact that she was a...
